Hi -
I write and record music. Some of my influences are newer acts like Sufjan Stevens and Arcade Fire, but also Radiohead and R.E.M., to name a few. I just created a site with links to some of my songs and some background info: http://www.wolfmusic.eu
I've found a lot of interesting music via the internet myself, and I think this is the thing of the future, especially for unsigned artists. So, I'd be happy if you'd take a look (and a listen, of course) and give it a review in your blog.
Thanks,
wolf

Hey there!
I represent a national indie label from Orlando, Fl called Post*Records (www.post-records.com) and was wondering how I might go about submitting or suggesting some artists for review? We're definitely looking to establish a nice rapport, as we have many genres and are always delivering progressive artists from all walks of life. I can send out some press kits, or, if need be, can send some links and websites if that would be better. Thanks for your time and consideration. I'm looking forward to working with you in the future.
In the meantime, check out some of these kids...

Hey,
In a similar vein with some of the last few comments, do you accept album submissions for review?
Thanks so much.

I just spent the past half hour of my life listening to your NES tunes. I love the Advantage, but nothing beats the real thing. Blaster Master was my favorite too. The game was so far ahead of it's time it is disgusting. EXCEPT no saving. If you wanted to beat it you had to set aside like 10 hours, and hope that your NES didn't crap out about half way thru. That was the worst thing in the world.
Anyway, I'm just getting into checking out music blogs (via hype machine) and yours rules. Kudos.
Here is the email I've been shooting around, but I couldn't find your email, so it genericaly goes here:
Hello!
We are Overman, an up and coming Chicagoland band. We have begun to garner some of the worldwide spotlight with our song 'Evolution Rocks',
We found your blog via the Hype Machine and would love for you to review Overman. You can click here (http://www.overman.info/promo) to download our new EP for free, and any other relevant Overman Media.
If you haven't heard of us yet keep Overman in mind, you will in the future and probably not from us, but we will keep you posted on when our next EP comes out just in case!
Even if you don't cover us in your blog, Please help yourself to these free downloads! We stand firmly behind our 'good' music and really think you will enjoy these songs.
Thanks again for you time, and if you have any questions you can contact us at this email ([email protected]), via www.overman.info, or by phone (Matt) at 815.791.7203.
Peace,
Matt

Hi Devin,
I found your site through IndieGuide.com and I wanted to see what the best way is to get new music to you.
I’m writing to you regarding an indie rock band from Los Angeles called Louden Swain. The band recently released their 3rd full length CD titled “A Brand New Hurt”, and I’d love for you to give it a listen. The songs are about life, love, vacation, pop tarts, and generally being alright.
Below is a link where you can stream the band’s songs. I can also send you links to the mp3’s or I could mail you a physical CD if you prefer. You can also stream songs from the website at the end of this email.

Thanks so much for your time, and please let me know if you would like any further information. I also want to say thanks for doing your blog and helping people find new music! That rules.
Have a great day.
